● Creative Collaboration ~ engaging into connective relating activities based in Contact Improv & Creative Dance techniques
● Emotional Expression ~ dancing emotions to free them from deep homes in the body

A poem speaking to the intentions of the Creative Dance Circle:
Centering in the body, rooting in the soul
we dance to connect with ourselves, parts and whole,
to cocreate with community,
to commune with the mystery beyond what we see.
We dance to express what doesn’t fit in words,
yet still craves to be heard.
We dance to be electrified with childlike curiosity.
We dance to explore what it means to be human,
to be imperfectly perfect, chaotic, wise, divine, & free.
We dance to embody what we most deeply desire & need,
& all the potentials of who we can be.
We dance to stay in touch with the miracle of being alive.
We dance so the whole world can thrive.
Facilitated by Lilly Field
Lilly Field is a movement artist, Expressive Arts healer, and founder of Move Love. For Lilly, dance has always been there, as a friend, teacher, and healer. Growing up, Lilly experienced challenging speech impediments, leading to social anxiety, feelings of isolation, and difficulty expressing emotions. Dance became a safe space in Lilly’s life, providing a new form of language that allowed her to express feelings that were hard to share through words. Because of the transformative power dance played in Lilly’s life, she is inspired to facilitate expressive, creative dance experiences for as many beings and communities as possible.
Through formal dance studio training and competitive dance, Lilly Field has studied many dance forms, including contemporary, ballet, modern, hip hop, improvisation, jazz, and tap. Lilly Field went on to study Inclusive Dance (among many other fields) at New College of Florida. Through many great mentors at NCF—including Leymis Bolaños-Wilmott, Monessa Salley, and Xuan Dancingers of Sarasota Contemporary Dance, Dr. Emily Carr of the Creative Writing program, and Dwayne Peterson of REVolutions Dance—Lilly got to expand her teaching and facilitation skills as to better communicate her passion and knowledge for dance. She also learned methods for teaching dance to diverse bodies and differing abilities, including people with Parkinsons’ Disease, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and elders.
She is now teaching dance and yoga at Open Hearts Art Center, a visual and performing arts-based day program for people with disabilities, as well as at the YWCA. Through Move Love, she facilitates epic creative dance workshop series and events forb her community. Lilly ultimately sees dance as a chance to transform
