Appalachian Healing Collective

Healing happens whether we are offering it or receiving it!

Join us for these special events in which we gather and focus our healing intentions and modalities on one or two people at a time within a group dynamic/intelligence. Whether you offer instrumental sound, reiki, laying of the hands, song, voice/mantra/affirmations, or simply presence–you are the gift of healing someone needs or even requests! And in turn, you will receive what you need from the menagerie of gifts that appear for a minimum of twenty minutes.

As healers, many of us loveLoveLOVE to offer our gifts. Oftentimes, we don’t get or think to receive in turn. This is a profound opportunity to do both, while sinking/synching into sound, community, presence, and the ultimate unraveling of the Unknown!

We have instruments that you are welcome to play such as crystal bowls, drums, handpans, rainsticks, etc. We end with fellowship over food. We ask that you bring food to share if you’re inspired and it’s easy.

No previous healer/musical experience necessary.

Facilitated by Randi Janelle of Liminal Yoga and EarthHeart Healing and Wolfgang Ettenreich of The Luminous Now and Sound Voyagers.

Cheers,

Wolfgang & Randi

Sonic Immersion with Wolfgang Ettenreich

Linkhttps://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/TU99WJ9TQQVBL    (to register)

Website: https://theluminousnow.com/all-events/

Cost: sliding scale $20-$35

Date/Time: Friday March 21, 7:00-9:00 pm

Through the vibrations of the ancient didgeridoo, various other instruments and the sounds of light language, you’ll be invited to relax into a sonic landscape to help you find your own inner clarity, inspiration and wisdom for these times.

"When you regain a sense of your life as a journey of discovery,

you return to rhythm with yourself"

~ John O'Donohue ~

This Sonic Immersion is an invitation to simply be with what is in the moment, the impermanence of our experience as sounds emerge and subside. And being ok with whatever arises, just as Rumi says: “… Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all! …”

Together we will traverse a soundscape, created by the sound and vibrations of the ancient didgeridoo, crystal singing bowls, drums, vocal expression via Light Language and several other instruments. Some of which will be played close to or over your body if you do like some more intense, activating vibrations.

May this journey assist you finding your own inner clarity, inspiration and wisdom for these times.

Bring whatever makes you comfortable to lay down (or sit) for an extended period of time and allowing you to fully enjoy this journey: a mat, blanket, pillow, eye cover to name a few things.

Self-Care Sound Healing Session w/ Whitley

Hello, I’m Whitley D. English, the founder of WNC GEMS (Generating Empowerment through Mindful Solutions). As a community health worker specializing in violence prevention, and a holistic wellness facilitator, my journey has been deeply shaped by my own experiences.

WNC GEMS was born out of my personal near-death experience with intimate partner violence. As a survivor, I have become a passionate advocate for others, tirelessly working to support our community in creating a better quality of life for all.

In these sound healing sessions, I invite you to take a moment for yourself, to reset and restore. I will guide you through a peaceful meditation using frosted crystal quartz bowls, allowing their soothing vibrations to support your well-being. You will also have the opportunity to enhance your experience with high-vibe essential oils and select an oracle card to further support your personal journey.

I offer these sessions with a suggested $25 donation, which can be made through Cash App, PayPal, or cash. However, please know that no one will be turned away due to financial constraints. My intention is for everyone to be able to relax, reset, and honor themselves. Come as you are, and allow yourself to reconnect, recharge, and nurture your nervous system. You deserve it.

Mantra Meditaiton Workshop

I’m excited to invite you to an upcoming Mantra Meditation Workshop on March 29th (2-4 PM) at The Well in Asheville. This two-hour session explores the transformative power of mantra, covering vocal exercises, pitch improvement, and techniques to unlock your voice using ancient tools for focus and clarity- essential in today’s world of stress and distraction.

We’ll also dive into key questions like “What do these mantras mean?” and “Am I practicing correctly?”—questions that, when left unanswered, can create barriers to a deeper connection with this powerful practice.

Additionally, we’ll get hands-on with instruments commonly used in kirtan and mantra meditation, including the harmonium, shruti box, and ektar.

Read more and register here. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions—I look forward to seeing you there!

Warmly,

Paul Gaeta

Light language playshop will begin with an interactive vocal improvisation and transition into a relaxing sound healing accompanied by reiki energy healing. We will explore and activate the voice as a powerful healing modality. If you are feeling called to use your voice in a deeper and more expanded way, this space is for you. We all have these innate gifts that have been suppressed. This playshop lets you explore and re-activate those gifts in a playful and judgement-free container. The sound and reiki portion are to help integrate the vocal improv, allowing the body to rest and cultivate a deep sense of ease for your innate healing to take place.

Radiant Heart Clown Club w/ Charlotte Smith

Radiant Heart Clown Club: First Edition: Desperate Times call to the seeds of Relentless Joyfulness.

The clown exists throughout history as an embodiment of levity...is courageous in their curiosity and expression of interest for the world...one who walks backwards or upside down...is a pancultural archetypal figure... and... maybe that sounds rather formal...this is an informal clown club!

Come all ye clowns, silly people, clown-adjacent, clown-curious, artists, theater folks, movers, dancers, musicians, caregivers, people with hearts that want to shine in a deeply sweet and fun container hosted by Charlotte Smith at The Well.

Depending on who shows up and what wants to happen, we will explore some clown themes and games, make some art, have some fun, talk to each other, make local, human connections and generally have a curious and enjoyable time inside of a wider overcultural time of violence, fear, scarcity, oppression, etc.

Charlotte Smith/c.savage/MamaCha is a longtime hospital/community/mystic/psychedelic clown, international hospital clown trainer, humanitarian clown trip producer and facilitator, as well as an artist, poet, singer, diviner, mom, craniosacral therapist, and community member. She has traveled and worked with the Gesundheit! Institute with Patch Adams for OMG 20 years.

Come out, have fun, kids ok with parent.

$10-20 donation.

Shamanic Journey Circle w/ Randi Janelle

Exploring our consciousness and fostering relationships with our guides in the lower world, upper world, and middle worlds. Traveling in the tradition of Core Shamanism via sound. The live drum beat encourages the theta brain wave state--the liminal state of consciousness. Theta brain waves often occur when we're going to sleep or waking up, dreaming, and when we're meditating or deeply relaxed. This brain state is a gateway to dimensions of consciousness where we can meet and receive guidance from our power animals and teachers, where we can experience healing and discover more of our truth. Sharing and/or listening to another person's experience in the circle provides grounding, integration and grows our incredible, supportive community!

Feel free to bring a hand drum and learn to drum while journeying if you haven't already!

Snacks are provided for grounding and fellowship afterwards.

We journey to a diversity of themes and advancing practices. To see what's up for the next one, check out our Events Calendar.

No previous experience of shamanic journeying necessary.

Open to everyone, regardless of musical experience or spiritual background, this event offers a welcoming space to connect, reflect, and let the power of sound open your heart. Come as you are—leave feeling refreshed and inspired.  Bring a song or mantra to share!

About Singing for Catharsis:

In this space, Saro Lynch-Thomason teaches easy-to-learn songs that we sing for extended periods of time to help us move into a place of catharsis/relaxation/oxytocin release/altered state that ritual chant has provided for countless people for thousands of years. After each song we take time to decompress and talk about our experiences. We will only explore a few songs, some for as long as an hour. Folks are welcome to take breaks during the songs if they need to.

D'Jedi Training

D'Jedi Training

Most people have seen or at least heard of the movie series Star Wars, and have been inspired by the powers of the Jedi, but did you know George Lucas himself was inspired by various sacred teachings such as Yoga, Taoist alchemy, and even Egyptian Magick? The D'Jedi were said to be spiritual warriors of Ancient Egypt, who inherited the sacred mysteries from the legendary land of Atlantis.

This workshop will dive into the Three main types of Soma Alkhemy practices: Somatic or physical exercises, Aetheric or Breath & Energy exercises, and Noetic or Psychic exercises. We will be using my signature HermeTech NeuroSomatic Entrainment music technology to tap into our psychic and energy potential, and cultivate psychic abilities with group practices to develop clairvoyance and telepathy. Come and awaken your inner D'Jedi, and tap into your higher potential!

Shamanic Journey Circle w/ Randi Janelle
